Psychological Testing
Psychological testing is the process of gathering and integrating data about a person’s behavior, abilities, and other characteristics in order to answer some question(s) about that person’s functioning. Psychological testing is useful for clarifying complicated diagnoses and creating an individualized treatment plan. Our clinical psychologists are trained to administer and interpret tests for a wide range of concerns including:
- Differential diagnosis/diagnostic clarification
- Personality disorders
- ADHD (ages 8+)
- Autism spectrum disorders (high-functioning/with verbal fluency) and other issues of neurodiversity
- Learning and academic difficulties
- Intellectual disabilities
- Pre-surgical assessments for bariatric procedures
- Pre-surgical assessments for pain pump or nerve stimulator implantations
- PTSD and other evaluations for military veterans
- Cognitive changes as in dementia (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease), acquired medical conditions (e.g., post-stroke), and traumatic brain injury
